Our story began with a simple, but often overlooked need to slow down. Life can feel full on and fast, especially when you're holding many roles at once. As a single mum navigating work, family life and my own mental health, i came to understand just how easy it is to place your own needs at the very bottom of the list. For a long time i carried a quiet guilt around taking time for myself. It wasnt until i discovered my neurodivergence in adulthood that things began to shift. What i once saw as personal shortcomings, i started to understand with more compassion. That understanding created space to soften, to accept, and to begin again in a gentler way. 

During a period of burnout, i found myself drawn back to the natural world. Stepping outside, whatever the weather, became a way to pause. To breathe. To notice. Small moments, fresh air, changing seasons, the feeling of being grounded began to restore me in ways i hadn't expected. These moments became the foundation for The Restorative Candle Company. Each candle is created as a quiet invitation to slow down and reconnect with yourself, your space, and the present moment. A soft light at the end of a long day. A small ritual that feels achieveable, even in the busiest seasons of your life.
